Amgen Information Systems Senior Manager – Data Platform in Tokyo, Japan
Main purpose of Job
As a member of the country Digital Technology & Innovation team,
Enables Japan business to achieve their objectives by providing data-driven insight through Data & Analytics platform co-managed with Global / Regional team.
Manage Japan DevOps team (onsite / offshore members) working closely with Global / Reginal D&A teams to ensure data quality and deliver D&A products for Japan in Agile approach,
Implement governance to capture and prioritize business demands on Data Platform from both Japan and Global/Region initiatives for the best contribution to business.
Govern local data process from ingestion, transformation into data asset as a local data expert
Responsibilities
Work closely with Global and Regional Data & Analytics DevOps team to have streamlined data processing which enable to provide sustainable and standardized data to the consumers
Enforce policies together with the Global and Regional data team for effective data management to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy
Manage Japan DevOps team to deliver maximum volume of outcome within capacity in good quality
Design and build local data repository which supports business needs through the best use of data
Provide self-service feature for super users to get data for their own customized reporting
Provide consultancy to super users for their daily use of data as expert of data
Manage vendors for gaining best support from them
Basic Qualifications
College degree or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in data related project management, in Agile methodology is plus.
Team management
Technical knowledge of the following:
AWS Redshift
Data Bricks
Data modeling and SQL
Business Intelligence or Data Discovery tools (Tableau, Alterlyx, PowerBI etc.)
Knowledge of process flow chart / Data flow diagram
Knowledge of software development lifecycles, Agile is plus
Knowledge of entity relationships, use cases, design and concepts
Knowledge of ITIL framework
Experience in vendor/contractor management
Business level Japanese and English skill – read/write/speak
Appropriate business social skills – Japanese, behavior, attires
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of pharmaceutical industry as IT member
Knowledge of business data in pharmaceutical industry including Ultmarc, IQVIA and JD-Net
