Engineering Projects Sr Manager
What you will do

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Projects Senior Manager to lead all aspects of and manage complex construction projects. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while meeting the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Ensure all construction activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and Amgen standards, while meeting required quality and safety standards and staying on schedule.
Lead project teams and manage contractors, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and scope.
Review and approve cost estimates, budgets, and contracts, ensuring proper checks and balances are in place.
Conduct regular progress reviews, providing updates to management and addressing any issues that may arise.
Collaborate with internal partners, including engineering, facilities, and leadership, to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Engineering or Scientific experience
Or
Master’s degree and 4 years of Engineering or Scientific experience
Or
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of Engineering or Scientific experience
Or
Associate Degree and 10 years of Engineering or Scientific experience
Or
High School diploma/GED and 12 years of Engineering or Scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong construction management experience with a detailed understanding of engineering and construction principles.
Leadership experience managing diverse teams, especially in pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industries.
Familiarity with Lean Construction and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and contracts.
Extensive experience in portfolio management
Strong ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, partners, and contractors.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
