ServiceNow Developer – Platform Operations
What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow Core Platform operations and key modules, including Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Security Operations (SecOps), and Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD). You will ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of the ServiceNow platform, working closely with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions that meet evolving business requirements. In addition to your primary scope, you will provide support as needed for other modules such as IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), Integrated Risk Management (GRC/IRM), and custom-built applications. You will contribute to platform upgrades, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and support of the core platform functions, ensuring continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the ServiceNow core platform, including SPM, SecOps, and HRSD modules
Provide support as needed in other modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, GRC/IRM, and custom-built applications
Design and implement system upgrades, patches, and platform maintenance activities to ensure system stability and performance
Monitor platform health, security, and performance metrics, and proactively address any issues
Create and configure workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and integrations that align with platform operations and business needs
Manage and optimize platform configurations to improve performance, usability, and security
Collaborate with product owners, platform architects, stakeholders, and developers to ensure platform compliance with business requirements and operational standard methodologies
Design and manage role-based access control (RBAC) for platform security and ensure consistency to compliance and security standards
Automate platform operations to streamline administration and improve efficiency
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for platform-related incidents, working with multi-functional teams to resolve issues promptly
Participate in ServiceNow platform strategy and roadmap discussions, contributing to continuous improvements and enhancements
Maintain up-to-date documentation for platform configurations, technical architecture, and operational processes
Stay ahead of with ServiceNow platform releases, features, and standard methodologies to recommend enhancements and innovations

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 to 8 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience OR
Diploma and 10 to 12 years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience
Must-Have Skills:
ServiceNow Module Expertise: Extensive experience in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Security Operations (SecOps), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), and proficiency in building and maintaining custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.
Scripting & API Integration: Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and Flow Designer for scripting and automating workflows, along with experience integrating third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs across diverse ServiceNow modules.
Custom Application Development: Solid experience designing, developing, and supporting custom applications on ServiceNow to meet unique business requirements across multiple departments.
Cross-Module Support: Ability to provide technical support for all ServiceNow capabilities, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, GRC, and more, ensuring optimal performance and integration across the platform.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Project & Portfolio Management Knowledge: Understanding of project and program management principles to effectively configure SPM and manage project portfolios within ServiceNow.
Security & Incident Response Expertise: Familiarity with SecOps workflows for managing security incidents, vulnerability response, and threat intelligence in alignment with standard methodologies.
HR Service Delivery Optimization: Experience configuring and optimizing HRSD workflows to improve HR case management, onboarding, and employee service experiences.
Reporting & Analytics: Ability to create comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide insights across SPM, SecOps, HRSD, and custom apps to support strategic decision-making.
Professional Certifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (Required)
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (Preferred)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) micro-certifications in SPM, SecOps, or HRSD (preferred)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) micro-certifications in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, or IRM (preferred)
