In this vital role you will act as a servant-leader and coach, facilitating team events, agile ceremonies and processes adherence while supporting various Global Medical product teams in delivering value. You will also promote the product when collaborating internally with the product team, to improve the customer experience and help deliver better products. This role involves guiding teams to adhere to SAFe Agile principles, fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. By ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused outcomes that align with organizational strategy, you will play a pivotal role in advancing SAFe Agile transformation and fostering innovation throughout the enterprise.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Function as a Technology Project Manager/Scrum Master within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) product team
Serve as a liaison between the Global Medical product owners, business teams and the technology development teams, prioritizing resources, needs and expectations
Support and/or be responsible for a suite of assigned projects and product teams
Support and/or lead all aspects of project management including scope, timelines, budget, vendor resources and internal collaborators, communication, requirements, risks, and post-launch maintenance
Lead and schedule necessary project-related meetings such as kick-offs, weekly status meetings, work sessions, deliverable reviews, and functional testing
Provide support with compliance, governance, demand management, change management.
Develop and maintain product roadmaps that clearly outlines the planned features and enhancements, timelines, and achievements
Identify and manage risks associated with the systems, including technological risks, scientific validation, and user acceptance
Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, including those in the US and other international locations.
Lead and facilitate agile events including stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos and backlog refinement meetings to promote team collaboration.
Guide and Coach the team in understanding and applying Agile frameworks principles and practices.
Work with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog ensuring the team delivers high-value outcomes aligned with business objectives.
Resolve conflicts and remove impediments hindering team’s progress. Call out risks and cross-Team dependency to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Teams by leading retrospectives, encouraging innovation, promoting Agile engineering practices and DevOps culture.
Monitor and report on the progress of the Team ensuring transparency and alignment with Sprint goals and Team objectives.
Help the scrum teams achieve delivery acceleration focused on business outcomes by reaching higher levels of scrum maturity.
Support scaling Agile by engaging in cross-team ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) planning to align team activities with Agile Release Train (ART) objectives.
What we expect of you
Master’s degree and 4 to 6 years of computer science or engineering field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 6 to 8 years of computer science or engineering field experience OR
Diploma and 10 to 12 years of computer science or engineering field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ yrs. of project management experience managing digital technology projects in a fast-paced, multi-client environment, including full design-build project lifecycle of web projects
Experience in guiding teams through Agile events and ensuring adherence to agreed practices and behaviors
Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection and other scrum techniques
Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with technology stack like Veeva, Salesforce, AWS, AI, Tableau, web technologies
Experience in Medical Affairs of a large pharmaceutical or biotech preferred
Must-Have Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users
Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges with data
Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills to work seamlessly in a cross-functional team
Good-to-Have Skills:
Work experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
An ongoing commitment to learning and staying at the forefront of AI/ML advancements.
Good understanding of DevOps and Test Automation Processes in software delivery
Professional Certifications
Mandatory certification in SAFe Scrum Master or similar
Preferred certification in project management (PMP, etc)
